The Hirschfeld Century is a Hit!
THE HIRSCHFELD CENTURY exhibition at the New York Historical Society is a groundbreaking retrospective that collects one hundred of Hirschfeld’s greatest drawings in one room for the first time. See the original drawings of Guys and Dolls and Fiddler on the Roof right next to each other. Or the drawings of the premiere productions of West Side Story, The Music Man, A Long Day’s Journey Into Night and so much more. Visitors can even sit in a barber chair just like Hirschfeld’s and try to draw like him (spoiler alert: it’s not easy). This exhibition runs through October 12th, and at present, the Historical Society has made no plans on traveling the show. Don’t miss it
